LEAD CHEVRONS
Navylest lead chevrons are specially designed for the construction of shielded cells intended to protect operators against X and Gamma radiation.
Made from high-purity lead (99.99%) and alloyed with 3 to 4% antimony, they enable the construction of robust and durable protective structures for the nuclear, medical, and industrial sectors. This hardness also allows for the machining of lead parts.
The addition of antimony increases the hardness of the material, limits the risk of deformation and facilitates machining operations, thus ensuring the stability and reliability of radiological protection installations.
