THE COMPANY
NAVYLEST: LEAD FOUNDRY,
AT YOUR SERVICE FOR OVER 25 YEARS
Navylest International Foundry has been at your service since 1935. Founded by the ARGAUD family and later acquired by the GCB Group in 2008, it maintains its historic location in the Loire region.
Specializing in nautical products, including the manufacture of lead keels and bulbs, the foundry has gradually expanded its expertise into this industrial sector.
For over 3 years, Managing Director Jonathan CARLESIMO has been pursuing the development of the business with the ambition of opening the company to new industrial and technical markets.
NAVYLEST manufactures all types of ballast, lead keels and lead ingots from 1 kg to 30 tonnes, in individual pieces or in series production.
We work from your 3D files (IGES, STEP) and exclusively use concrete or cast iron molds to guarantee quality finish and compliance with environmental constraints.
Today we supply the largest boat builders as well as one-off construction projects.
THE HISTORY
OF THE FOUNDRY
It was in 1935 that Robert ARGAUD developed his business and built the reputation of NAVYLEST in the field of lead casting and nautical ballast.
The company quickly achieved significant success thanks to the production of numerous prestigious keels, notably for Éric Tabarly's famous Pen Duick, as well as for iconic racing boats such as Challenge France or Crédit Agricole III.
Nearly 50 years after its creation, Robert ARGAUD passed the company on to his son Rémy ARGAUD, who continued the company's development until its bankruptcy in 2008.
Taken over by the GCB group, and now integrated into the dynamic CARLESIMO Group, the NAVYLEST foundry continues its development while preserving its historical expertise.
